Street Smart Edge - Charles Schwab

Every night I use StreetSmart Edge, a Charles Schwab account to look at charts and do measurements. Since I have found it to be easy to use once you figure out how to set it up to your liking. A lot of other programs are nice but they have too much for me.

Until I can afford to use the SureTrader Pro Platform (http://suretrader.com/Platform_Pro.aspx) which is the real deal, SSE (StreetSmart Edge) will have to do.

TweetDeck

I set up lists and look throughout the day on Twitter to see what stocks are popping up and may have lots of attention. This page tells how I set up my TweetDeck.

Yahoo Finance

Pages Like this http://finance.yahoo.com/q?s=BBRY&ql=1 give me news and a quick update on any stock. I can play with charts when I'm away from my computer by clicking ( Basic Tech. Analysis ) on the side.

Also, note that if you open up a bunch of new tabs they will act as a watch list on Chrome.
You have to leave it on the summary page though for it to show the current price.

BigCharts

It's easy to save the chart images and it is always usually proportional. This is why I started using before and after shots from bigcharts.com

And FinViz

FinViz is a great tool. Hover over tickers and check snapshots without clicking off the page.

Clicking on a symbol gives you more info than you need. I don't subscribe, but if you do you can edit the chart timeframes. I don't need to since I use SSE for that.

Also, this is what I use for scans. I show you how I set up stock scans on FinViz here.

Not sure if this will work for you but this is the link to my FinViz Scanner

Videos Chat Rooms and Online Trading Groups

I'm also a member of Tim Sykes and SuperTrades alerts and have access to the chat rooms. I spend some time there occasionally but it almost seems too much for me. I like refreshing my memory by watching the occasional video from tim.

But the videos I have learned the most from are Nathan Michaud's Investors Live DVD.

And I spent hours and hours and hours watching an old video someone sent me from this guy Mike Mc Mahon from the Online Trading Academy. This really put my stock shoes on for me!

Watched some of Tim Sykes's video at a friends house for about 5 hours and all I saw was him talking about how much he could have made if he did this. It's hard to get a grasp on what exactly he does, since he is all over the place.

That being said, I will always love Tim Sykes because I'm sure, just like hundreds or maybe even thousands of others, he is the one that got me hooked in the first place! And brought me into this fiery jungle of money trains!
